The right lighting can completely transform a space. We design and install everything from everyday household lighting to completely bespoke LED installations, architectural lighting and creative feature projects, combining electrical expertise with creative lighting design.

Lighting is often one of the biggest differences between a space that simply looks finished and one that feels properly designed. We consider how a room will actually be used, where natural light enters, where shadows are likely to fall, what atmosphere you want to create and which features of the space deserve to be highlighted.
From practical task lighting to completely bespoke LED installations, we'll help you build layers of light that work together. And if you've seen something unusual in a hotel, restaurant or shop and thought "I want something like that", talk to us. You don't need to know what fittings, LED strips, drivers or controls are required. That's our job.

Some of our favourite lighting projects aren't things you can simply pick off a shelf. We design lighting around the property, furniture, architecture or the idea itself, working with specialist suppliers where required, so we're not restricted to standard spotlights and pendants.
Think illuminated ceilings, colour-changing cinema rooms, LED staircases, backlit feature walls, garage lighting, home gyms, floating shelves, outdoor entertaining areas and bespoke commercial installations. Lighting can become part of the architecture rather than simply something attached to it.

Lighting can completely change the experience of a cinema or media room. On our own projects we've incorporated bespoke LED lighting into the ceiling design and staircase, allowing colour to become part of the room itself.
Different colours can completely change the atmosphere of the space, turning the lighting into a feature rather than simply a way of illuminating the room.

We can incorporate them into architectural details, furniture and joinery to create lighting that appears to be part of the room itself. Popular possibilities include:
A good lighting layout shouldn't simply be a grid of spotlights across a ceiling. Take a kitchen: poorly positioned ceiling lights can mean that when you're standing at the worktop, you become the thing blocking the light, leaving exactly the area you're using in shadow. A properly considered scheme takes into account work surfaces, cabinetry, islands, appliances, walkways and how people move around the room, so it's practical when you need it and atmospheric when you don't.
Focused lighting where you actually need visibility, such as worktops, desks, mirrors and preparation areas.
The general lighting that establishes the overall brightness and atmosphere of a room.
Used to highlight architectural features, artwork, shelving, cabinetry or particular areas of a space.
Lighting designed to be seen, from a statement pendant to an illuminated staircase, LED ceiling detail or a completely bespoke installation. The best rooms often combine all four.

Kitchens are one of the spaces where thoughtful lighting makes the biggest difference. Rather than relying entirely on ceiling lights, we build different layers of lighting throughout the room, and because they can be controlled separately, your bright, practical kitchen during food preparation can become a much softer entertaining space later in the evening.
Carefully positioned downlights or decorative fittings providing practical overall illumination.
Illuminating work surfaces while reducing unwanted shadows.
A subtle strip of light around the base of cabinetry that can make units appear almost floating.
Feature pendants, recessed lighting or integrated LEDs designed around the centrepiece of the kitchen.
Lighting inside glass cabinets, drinks cupboards, shelving or display areas.
Integrated lighting used to highlight materials, edges and architectural details.

A shelf is just a shelf until it's illuminated properly. A staircase is purely functional until light turns it into a feature. A kitchen plinth can almost disappear during the day, then completely change the atmosphere at night. We love using lighting in places people might not initially think about.
Integrated LEDs can highlight shelving, bookcases, media units, display cabinets and bespoke joinery without visible bulky fittings.
From glass cabinets to wardrobes and drinks cupboards, discreet lighting can make practical storage feel much more premium.
Lighting incorporated alongside steps, handrails, walls or architectural details for both practical illumination and a striking feature.
Low-level LEDs add depth to kitchens, hallways, bathrooms and furniture while creating softer lighting for evenings.

LED technology gives us an enormous amount of flexibility. Depending on the installation, lighting can be designed to provide different colours, brightness levels and effects. A cinema room might be pink one evening and blue the next. A home gym could have bright practical lighting while you train and dramatic coloured lighting when you want atmosphere. A garden entertaining space could be subtle and warm most evenings and something completely different when you're hosting. We'll recommend the appropriate system rather than simply installing an LED strip and hoping for the best.
LED strip can range from inexpensive basic products to high-quality professional systems designed for smoother illumination, better colour rendering and long-term use. Different projects need different LED densities, outputs, profiles, diffusers, colour temperatures, controls and drivers. When you want a continuous line of light rather than visible individual dots, the choice of strip and profile makes a huge difference. We'll recommend products appropriate to the project and your budget, explaining where it's worth investing more and where a simpler solution will do the job perfectly well.

There are huge differences in lighting products and prices. Sometimes investing in a premium fitting or LED system makes sense. Other times, spending more simply isn't necessary. We'll work around your priorities and budget to find the right balance between appearance, performance and cost. If there's an area where we think it's worth spending a little more, we'll explain why. If there's somewhere you can save without compromising the result, we'll tell you that too.

Show us the room, plans, inspiration photographs or even a screenshot you've saved online. You don't need a technical specification.
We consider how the space is used, the existing electrics, natural light, furniture, architectural features and practical requirements.
We develop the lighting concept, considering positioning, output, colour temperature, controls, LED type and suitable fittings, working with suppliers for specialist projects.
Because bespoke lighting varies enormously, we provide a detailed quotation based on what you actually want, rather than fitting your project into a generic package.
Our electricians install the lighting and associated electrical equipment carefully and professionally.
